Leaked Motorola Edge 70 image claims it’s “impossibly thin”, shows off a Pantone color

Several months ago, a purported render of the Moto Edge 70 hit the web, showing a design that’s quite standard for the Edge series. Now, leakster Evan Blass has posted what appears to be an official image of the phone and it looks quite different.

Here it is, the Motorola Edge 70. The lime green accents on the four raised circles on the camera island (three cameras and one LED flash) and the matching button on the side were not seen in the old image.

Also, it’s hard to see, but it looks like this model will have a flat display – at least one that’s not nearly as curved as the Edge 60 display. As you can tell by the little square on the back, Motorola has yet again partnered with Pantone to pick this color – and there should be more hues too.

We’re more interested in the tagline: “Impossibly thin and incredibly tough”. Thinness is a new trend, spurred by a rivalry between Apple and Samsung (and others too). The Edge 60 was 7.9mm thick (or 8.2mm, depending on the color you choose), so it was nothing special in this regard.

In fact, aside from its Razr foldables, Motorola doesn’t really have phones that come close to 7mm, let alone go below that mark. So, how thin can Moto go?
