Are you excited for Prime Deal Days next week? That’s going to require a Prime subscription – of course, a trial subscription will work just fine. However, the sales event doesn’t start until Tuesday. For now, here are some deals that don’t need Prime.

The Realme GT 7T launched in May with a Dimensity 8400 Max chipset, not unlike the chipset inside the Xiaomi 15T that we looked at last week. It has a 6.8” 10-bit 120Hz OLED display and a massive 7,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging. The camera setup is nothing special with a 50MP 1/1.56” main sensor and an 8MP 112° ultra-wide.

Samsung’s Galaxy A-series mid-rangers are on sale. The Galaxy A56 is based on the Exynos 1580 chipset and will receive OS updates for 6 years. It has a 6.7” 120Hz OLED display and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging (it’s not much, but it’s faster than the S25). It has a triple 50MP 1/1.56” main camera, 12MP 123° ultra-wide and a 5MP macro module.

    Samsung Galaxy A56

By dropping some components like the aluminum frame and new Exynos chip, the Samsung Galaxy A36 hits a lower price point. It uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with UFS 2.2 storage (vs. UFS 3.1 on the A56) and note that the 128GB model only has 6GB of RAM. The 50+8+5MP camera setup uses smaller sensors (1/1.96” in the main). The battery is the same 5,000mAh cell with 45W charging. You can find a more detailed comparison between the Galaxy A36 and A56 here.

The Samsung Galaxy A26 is cheaper still, but with only €15 between them, the A36 is probably the better phone. Unless you need expandable storage, of course, which the A26 provides. The cheaper model also surprisingly has the better ultra-wide camera and video recording capabilities. More details in our dedicated Galaxy A26 vs. A36 comparison article.

The Google Pixel 9a costs more than the Galaxy A56, but to its credit, it also has an aluminum frame and it even has better water resistance – IP68 vs. IP67 on the Galaxy A models. The Tensor G4 is no speed demon, but it is faster than the Exynos 1580. And you get a 5,100mAh battery with both wired and wireless charging (albeit both pretty slow at 23W and 7.5W, respectively). This one will get OS updates for 7 years.

    Google Pixel 9a

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ slots between the A56 and A36 at the moment. It stands out with a 200MP main camera (1/1.4” sensor) and a 6.67” 12-bit 120Hz OLED display with 1220p resolution (higher than the A56 and 9a displays). It has a 5,110mAh battery with fast 120W wired-only charging. It too has an aluminum frame and is rated IP68.

Amazon unveiled new Kindle Scribe models this week, but they are still marked “coming soon”. You can pick up the original Scribe with a 25% discount.

The new model has a larger 11” display, up from 10.2” on the first generation. Even so, it’s also 33g lighter. The display is 40% faster when writing or turning pages and features a new textured glass that improves the writing feel when using the stylus. Another speedup comes from the new quad-core CPU with extra RAM.

Additionally, Amazon launched a Kindle Scribe Colorsoft – same 11” display size but now with colors. Note that this is a €130 upgrade over the grayscale Scribe.

The Kindle Colorsoft, Amazon’s first e-reader with a color display, has a much smaller 7” display. It’s a lot cheaper, costing just €175 for the base 16GB model. You can have the 32GB Signature Edition for €40 more – this adds wireless charging and an auto-adjusting front light with a sensor.
