Augmented reality glasses, once a concept in science fiction, are now a real-life device gaining traction in today’s digital age. AR glasses are designed to let you view movies, work on digital documents, and even play video games, and the current leading manufacturer is undoubtedly XREAL.

In honor of Black Friday coming up soon, XREAL has begun offering huge discounts on a wide range of its AR glasses and compatible devices.

These include 20% off the XREAL One Pro for $599 at Amazon (earning a 4.5/5 score from us) and the XREAL Beam Pro add-on for $159 on Amazon, alongside the more affordable, standard XREAL One for $399 at Amazon.

What’s the benefit of using XREAL glasses?

XREAL glasses let you watch movies or play video games privately without disturbing others, since the screens are visible only through the lenses and their audio is confined to their built-in speakers.

They’re also useful for work purposes as they can create multiple virtual monitors to help out with workflow tasks, so you don’t have to waste time sorting through multiple browser tabs.

The XREAL One Pro glasses take the default model and improve upon it with a wider 57° FOV (field of view), a redesigned optical system to reduce reflections, support for multiple interpupillary distance (IPD) preferences, a brighter display, and a slimmer, lighter front frame.

The XREAL One Pro was so good that it even earned a 4.5/5 star review from one of our tech experts, Zachary Boddy, stating that “Its refined design, gorgeous displays, intelligent spatial awareness, and excellent stereo audio make this the greatest, completely private, universally compatible, and ridiculously adaptable external monitor you could ask for.”

So, if you want to live out cool sci-fi fantasies of viewing virtual computer monitors in mid-air through AR visors, just like in my beloved Mass Effect, then the XREAL glasses are for you.

    FAQ

    What are XREAL glasses?

XREAL manufactures augmented reality (AR) glasses with tiny virtual screens visible only to the wearer through their lenses. XREAL glasses are primarily used to let users browse the internet, play games, or watch movies on a private virtual screen when a TV isn’t available, or as a second screen for multitasking during work.

What are XREAL AR glasses compatible with?

The XREAL One glasses are compatible with Windows PCs, Android and iPhone, handheld gaming devices like Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally, and home consoles like Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch via the Beam Pro.

What is the XREAL Beam Pro?

The XREAL Beam Pro is a smartphone-esque device designed to serve as an AR hub for XREAL’s AR glasses, providing them with head-tracking interfaces and additional specialized computing capabilities. It can also be used to capture and view 3D photos and videos.

Do I need the XREAL Beam Pro for the XREAL One glasses?

Not necessarily if you already have a device or a compatible mobile phone that can work directly with XREAL One glasses to help extend their screen or mirror it.

The Beam Pro can help extend an XREAL One’s battery life by acting as a secondary power source via USB-C connections and grant it more screen customization options.

When is Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Black Friday is set to begin on November 28, 2025, and Cyber Monday will begin on December 1, 2025.

However, we recommend not waiting for these events to get discount deals, as retailers worldwide are already offering massive discounts on electronic products and will continue to do so even after Black Friday ends.
