Xiaomi’s rollout of HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 has finally reached global 15 Ultra units in stable form. The update has arrived on our review unit, which is meant for the European market, as build 3.0.5.0.WOAEUXM. It’s a whopping 8.9GB download, so make sure you grab it on a fast enough network, otherwise it could take hours to download.

The full changelog is available in the screenshots below. It’s huge, so we won’t go into all of it here. But suffice to say, everything Xiaomi promised in its HyperOS 3 release is there. Expect a ton of performance enhancements, along with cleaner and more refined visuals, a redesigned home screen grid, a cleaner status bar design, unified rounded corners across the system (really), as well as comprehensive optimizations for built-in apps.

You can now mirror your screen content to an iPad, and open multiple phone apps simultaneously and adjust their window sizes on a Mac. You can also unlock your Xiaomi phone using Touch ID, Face ID, or your password on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Finally, advanced data protection now uses post-quantum encryption to keep personal data even more secure.
As always with software updates like these, it might take a few days for the rollout to reach every single device out there, so fret not if you haven’t received the notification yet – it is on the way.
