Last week, we asked you which of the three Redmi Note 15 models would you buy and we have a definite winner. These are tiered into three different price points, so Xiaomi probably thought that they could co-exist on the market. However, the results for the trio are “yes”, “maybe” and “no”.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the clear favorite of the group – it’s the first pick for a third of voters, which can go up to half of voters if the phone reviews well. The addition of a 50MP 2.5x telephoto camera proved to be a winning move.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro also has potential – the preference for its Pro+ sibling is clear, but with good reviews and a 25% lower price tag, there is a niche for this model.
The situation with the Redmi Note 15 is pretty dire, however. Few people are interested in it, good reviews or not, the majority would rather have a different mid-ranger. The good news for Xiaomi is that this “different mid-ranger” would often be the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. The bad news is that the popular Redmi Note series may have gone in a bad direction this generation.
There are overall issues this year – the almost complete disappearance of the 3.5mm headphone jack from the Redmi and Redmi Note series is a major issue for some readers (only the Redmi 15C 4G has it). Some readers were worried whether they could unlock the bootloaders on these phones. Others criticized the chipset selection – you can find faster chips in this price range.
On the plus side, the massive 7,000mAh batteries are a step in the right direction. That and the telephoto camera on the Pro+ model.
