We’re only four months away from the release of Resident Evil: Requiem, the latest and possibly darkest installment of Capcom’s iconic survival horror franchise to date.

To help players catch up, Loaded is offering a massive Halloween sale for several titles in the Resident Evil series, like the Resident Evil Remake Trilogy ($33.99), Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition ($9.89), and the Resident Evil HD Remaster ($4.49).

Additionally, Newegg’s got a special 72% discount for Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition for $13.99.

Why Resident Evil is the quintessential series for Halloween and beyond

The Resident Evil series is often considered to be the pinnacle of survival horror games, and for good reason.

Many of them are extremely polished, atmospheric, enjoyable titles that veer back and forth between keeping you up at night with their nightmare-inducing monsters to providing cathartic power rushes as a reward for mastering their resource management and combat mechanics.

Out of all the games in this post, the most plot-relevant ones are Resident Evil HD Remaster and the Resident Evil Remake Trilogy, as their stories help set the stage for Raccoon City’s ruined state in Resident Evil: Requiem.

Resident Evil HD Remaster may be a remaster of 2002 remake, but this game still holds up even after 23 years for boasting some of the most beautiful, gothic pre-rendered backgrounds, perfectly-paced gameplay, and terrifying moments that will catch you off guard even on repeat playthroughs.

However, if you want something more modern, the Resident Evil Remake trilogy is the way to go.

Each game in this collection will have you quaking in your boots with its adrenaline-pumping scares, scarce resources you will need to be careful not to waste, and memorable characters you will want to help survive the horrors coming to consume them.

While not directly connected to Resident Evil: Requiem (from what we’ve seen thus far), Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil: Village are still worth playing regardless.

It’s an incredible duology of titles that helped kickstart Capcom’s redemption arc back into popularity during the late 2010s and early 2020s for their in-depth gameplay, spooky locales rich with secrets, and possibly the best villains in the franchise outside of Albert Wesker.

With these 70-80% discounts for Resident Evil Remake Trilogy ($33.99 at Loaded), Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition ($9.89 at Loaded), Resident Evil HD Remaster ($4.49 at Loaded), and Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition ($13.99 at Newegg), you will save dozens of dollars and have months of unforgetteble content to chew on before Resident Evil: Requiem arrives on February 27, 2026.

    FAQ

    What is Loaded?

Loaded is an online-only, legitimate retailer that specializes in selling digital codes for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and PC games, oftentimes with exclusive discounts.

    What is Resident Evil?

Resident Evil is a long-running survival horror series where you are fighting to survive in a world infested with undead zombies, bio-engineered monstrosities, and villainous organizations creating world-destroying viruses for their own selfish gains.

When is Resident Evil: Requiem coming out and for what platform?

Resident Evil: Requiem is set to launch on February 27, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Windows and Steam.

Are any Resident Evil Games on Xbox Game Pass?

Yes. Resident Evil 2 and 3 are for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
