The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is now more affordable than ever

For most people, dropping $2,000 on a foldable phone just isn’t possible. But if it’s closer to the $1,000 mark, it then becomes more of a reality, since the pricing is in line with other popular slab phones. Over the past few years, we’ve seen brands try to bring the price down even further in this category, with Motorola really spearheading the movement.

And Samsung also offers its own affordable foldable flip phone with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which really didn’t hit the mark with consumers upon release due to its relatively high price. Luckily, we’ve seen the price dip to something more reasonable over the past months, with the phone now hitting to its lowest price yet thanks to a $200 discount.

Cheaper but might still be out of reach for some

This is one of those phones that should’ve been a home run out of the gate. However, Samsung really fumbled when it came to pricing, charging $900 for the base model, which is only $200 less than the flagship model. So, as you can imagine, the response was pretty tepid.

But now, we’re seeing a sizable discount that makes this phone worth taking a look at. The $200 discount from Amazon drops it down to $700, which is pretty good. It’s not dirt cheap for a foldable, but it’s reasonable, which is all we can ask.

The design is sleek and modern, and you get a large cover display that can be used to access your favorite apps. The inner screen also delivers vibrant colors, and you get impressive power thanks to Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chip that’s paired with 8GB of RAM.

This particular model comes with 128GB of internal storage, and doesn’t feature any way to expand it. So if you need more space, you’ll want to bump up to the higher model with 256GB. Unfortunately, there isn’t a storage size higher than that. So those that need even more room may need to pass on this model or rely on external storage solutions.

The phone has a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide. The battery life is pretty good too, thanks to the 4,000mah battery. You can charge wired or wireless, and there’s even reverse wireless charging as well. For the most part, it’s not a bad phone, and it may even get better thanks to the seven years of promised updates.

This is a good phone if you’re looking for a new foldable. The price is right, and it’s brand new straight from Amazon. Or if you want to check other options, we think Motorola offers some excellent choices as well.
