Samsung’s latest smartphone combines the best elements of the mainline Galaxy S25 trio with an all new slim chassis. But will the smaller battery and reduced sensor count be enough to win over enthusiasts?

The iPhone Air makes its retail debut today, but the good news is that Android users won’t have to suffer any FOMO, since Samsung’s already got something similar in its lineup with the Galaxy S25 Edge. It’s thin, light, and powerful — and comes with pretty much everything you’d need on a top-end phone. And while we don’t think it’s a good idea to spend over $1,1000 on this phone, we think it’s priced just right at the currently discounted price that knocks $400 off retail.

It’s hard to ignore at $400 off

It’s still too early to tell whether slim phones are going to be a thing, but you got to love brands for trying. The Galaxy S25 Edge not only looks good, but also packs quite a bit of hardware under the hood that allows it to deliver a fantastic user experience.

It features a large 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip that’s paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. You get a dual camera setup on the rear, with a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide, along with a 12MP camera on the front as well.

The phone runs Samsung’s One UI over Android, providing an excellent software experience with the brand’s AI tools in tow. The best part is that you’ll get seven years of updates, which will keep the phone feeling fresh for years to come. For the most part, this all looks and sounds like what you’d get from Samsung’s other flagship phones.

Of course, the main difference here is that the phone is extremely thin, coming in at just 5.8mm thick. And it’s also extremely light, weighing in at just 163 grams. While impressive, this phone does make certain sacrifices, with the main one being the smaller battery this model packs, coming in at just 3,900mAh.

The battery should be enough to last most people all day, but if you’re a heavy user, you may need to charge up at some point during the day. Overall, not a bad piece of hardware, especially since it’s now seeing a substantial discount that knocks $400 off retail, dropping it to $700.
