When the Galaxy S25 Edge was released this year, it seemed revolutionary thanks to its slim form factor. Its successor was immediately expected to replace the Galaxy S26 Plus from the lineup next year. Things, however, quickly changed due to the poor sales of the Edge model, and now Samsung is likely to go forward with the Galaxy S26 Plus after all.

Android Headlines just showed off CAD-based renders of the Galaxy S26 Plus that have surfaced from prominent leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks.

Flat frame and vertical camera visor for upcoming flagship

The renders reveal the device’s design, but the showcased colors are just a representation and not actual colorways that we might see during the launch next year.

The device is expected to feature a flat frame with slightly rounded edges for a comfortable in-hand feel. The design language largely relies on the Galaxy S25 Plus, with slight notable differences.

The Galaxy S26 Plus will likely feature a triple camera system organized akin to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This appears to be a welcome change from the S25 Plus, which featured individual sensors stacked vertically. On the front, the device features a 6.7-inch flat display with a minimal bezel. The expected dimensions are 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35 mm, which is a bit thicker than the Galaxy S25 Plus.

Rumored specs and a launch timeline

Other rumored specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S26 Plus include the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and a few other regions are likely to have the Exynos 2600 chip. Storage options should be 256GB and 512GB.

We will likely see newer camera sensors with the Galaxy S26 models, according to the latest leak. The South Korean tech giant might opt for a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor (S5KGNG) that will act as the primary sensor. The same leak has also shared the battery capacity of the Plus model should be 4900mAh, the same as the Galaxy S25 Plus.

Other recent reports have indicated that we should be expecting the Galaxy S26 series trio sooner than before, with devices launching in late January and shipping worldwide by early February.
