Flipkart is kicking off its Big Billion Days sale with a surprise blast from the past – the Samsung Galaxy S24. Interestingly, now it features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 instead of the Exynos 2400 that the S24 (and S24+) got the first time around (for markets other than the US, Canada and China). Huh?
The Snapdragon-powered model is currently on pre-order. You can find the 8/128GB version for ₹75,000 and the 8/256GB version for ₹80,000. For comparison, the original launch price of the 8/256GB model was exactly ₹80,000.
We’re not sure this makes any sense, though. Flipkart itself will sell you a Galaxy S25 (12/256GB) for ₹75,000. Sure, you may prefer Snapdragon over Exynos, but wouldn’t you prefer an 8 Elite over an 8 Gen 3? Because that’s what the S25 has inside (plus 4GB more RAM). Both are the overclocked “for Galaxy” variants of the respective chips, by the way.
Note that the original Exynos variant of the S24 is gone from Flipkart. It’s still on Samsung India’s site, though. However, that site makes no mention of a Snapdragon variant for the country. Go figure.

Anyway, the Galaxy S24 Snapdragon as it is called on Flipkart, launches with Android 15 out of the box (the original came with v14). It has a model number SM-S921E – note the last letter, the original Exynos-based phone for India was SM-S921B.
The Galaxy S24+, which also used an Exynos 2400 for the Indian market, is not getting a Snapdragon re-release. Even if it was, we would probably point you to the S25+ instead, especially if the pricing works out the same way as with the smaller model.
Of course, the Galaxy S24 Ultra exclusively used the Snapdragon chip in all markets, so no need to re-release that.
