High-end GPUs are in higher demand than ever, despite being costly, as PC gamers race to keep their rigs up to date to play the latest AAA titles with optimal graphical and framerate performance.

Thankfully, one of these GPUs, the NVIDIA Ventus GeForce RTX 5070, has had its $559.99 cut down by 11% courtesy of this early Black Friday deal at Newegg for $499.99 (plus an additional $20 for $479.99 if you have a Newegg rebate card).

Why is this GPU worth buying?

If you can’t find an RTX 5080 GPU to run the best PC games, the MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5070 is the next best thing. (Image credit: NVIDIA)

Our pals at PC Gamer gave the 3X version of the NVIDIA MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5070 a highly rated 86/100 review, stating when comparing it to the RTX 5080, and I quote “And yet here we are, with a GPU capable of high clock speeds, impressively low thermals, and being just short of the RTX 5080’s gaming performance by 14% at 1440p and 17% at 4K. When you sit back and consider what that actually translates to in terms of frame rates, you’ll see a card that’s rarely more than 10 fps off the pace.”

In other words, this GPU is so powerful that its performance is nearly on par with the RTX 5080, while costing half as much as the MSI Venture GeForce RTX 5070 has an MSRP of $549, while an RTX 5080 normally costs $999.99.

This graphics card managed to perform such a feat by being built with all kinds of advanced features, such as having an NVIDIA Blackwell architecture with 4th-gen Ray Tracing Cores and 5th-gen Tensor Cores to boost game performance with AI.

It also has 12GB GDDR7 VRAM capable of memory speeds of 28GB, DLSS 4 AI-tech to help boost a game’s framerate way past the industry standard of 60fps, and NVIDIA Reflex 2 to severely reduce latency while playing competitive games online.

That last feature will no doubt be one that PC gamers will want to look for, as cutting down latency to eliminate any potential input lag will be essential to surviving the chaotic PvP battles of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Battlefield 6, or Arc Raiders.

Other features include a 192-bit interface, PCI Express 5.0, HDMI 2.1a, and DisplayPort 1.4a ports, and a dual-fan cooling system to safeguard from overheating.

So, if you’re ready to upgrade your PC rig so you can experience PC gaming with 4K resolution and over 100fps, then head over to Newegg to grab the NVIDIA MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5070 for $499.99 with this 11% early Black Friday discount (or for $479.99 if you have a Newegg rebate card).

Who knows? If the rumors of GPU prices getting spiked due to AI turn out to be real, this could be your last chance to own an NVIDIA MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5070 at its lowest price.

    FAQ

What is a Newegg rebate card?

When buying certain items at Newegg, they may sometimes offer you a rebate form for you to sign during checkout. After filling it and purchasing, you may get a percentage of your money back in the form of a prepaid card.

You can check Newegg’s rebate card FAQ and mail-in rebate FAQ for more information.

What CPU should I pair the NVIDIA MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5070 with to avoid bottleneck?

To avoid a GPU bottleneck (when your graphics card has trouble performing due to being paired with incompatible CPUs), it is recommended that you pair the NVIDIA MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5070 with powerful CPUs like the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, or an Intel Core i5 14600K.

Should I wait for a “Super” variant of this GPU?

Rumors are flying around that the “Super” variants of NVIDIA’s RTX-50 graphics card series, with improved specs and performance, may be canceled due to a harsh shortage of NAND and DRAM caused by the growing demand for AI.

As such, it may be wise to buy the standard edition of this GPU while it is still discounted in case the rumor turns out to be true.

    When does Black Friday start?

Black Friday, the annual shopping event where retailers host the biggest product discounts, officially commences on November 28, 2025, and will last until December 1, 2025.

However, it is best to keep an aye out for deals before then as retailers as already offering discounts for a variety of products throughout November.
