LEGO’s massive Death Star set with over 9k pieces will cost you everything

LEGO has unveiled a new set that’s sure to make Star Wars fans gasp and scream: an enormous Death Star that’s 20.5 x 18.9 x 15.1 inches with 9,023 pieces. Known as Death Star 75419, it’s now one of the largest LEGO sets of all time. Only a few other sets—like Eiffel Tower 10307 and Titanic 10294—have more pieces.

Indeed, the Death Star is the largest LEGO Star Wars set ever released. It takes you back to the very first film in the Star Wars saga where it all began, in which Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo all made their first appearances.

Fans can discover detailed replicas of well-known locations, including the famous rubbish chute, Emperor Palpatine’s throne room, Princess Leia’s cell, the controls of the tractor beam, and Imperial shuttle’s hangar. The replica of the Death Star body is less successful, though, as some have commented: it’s, strictly speaking, a “death disc.”

The set includes 38 LEGO Star Wars minifigures, including Luke Skywalker (as a Jedi and in a Stormtrooper outfit), Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and two droids.

In the product announcement post, LEGO writes: “Whether you’re re-enacting the lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi, swinging across the retractable bridge with Luke and Leia, or simply admiring the architectural power of the Death Star, this set is a must-have for Star Wars collectors.”

    Price and availability

The LEGO Star Wars Death Star Ultimate Collector Series building set (75419) will be available starting October 1st, 2025 as part of LEGO Insiders Early Access via LEGO.com/Star-Wars and in all LEGO Stores. The official product launch for everyone else will take place on October 4th, 2025 in the LEGO online shop.

Fans will need iron stomachs because LEGO is asking an incredible $999.99 price for the Death Star. But there’s a small consolation for buyers who purchase the LEGO Star Wars Death Star between October 1st and 7th: they’ll get an exclusive LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack for free (while supplies last). With the purchase of the Death Star, you’ll receive 7,500 LEGO Insider Points.

There’s also a limited edition poster with only 5,000 units worldwide. The largest LEGO Star Wars poster ever published (over 31.5 x 23.6 inches) shows the Death Star in all its grandeur. You can get it starting October 1st for 5,000 points in the LEGO Insiders Rewards Center while supplies last. Members will receive a code that’s valid for 60 days.
