Second officer’s log, stardate 4555.38. An archeological dig studying next-generation human exoplanet colonization has revealed a curious find: a 21st-century modular children’s toy with a striking resemblance to my current vessel. This model of a Starfleet Galaxy-class starship is in remarkably good condition, allowing us to examine its anachronistic properties in minute detail.
The toy is approximately 60 centimeters long—antiquated Earth imperial measurements of the time would describe it as 24 inches—and comprised of 3,600 interlocking bricks of various sizes and shapes, all constructed from synthetic oil-derived polymer popular at the time. Despite its relatively small size, the detailing on the Galaxy-class ship is impressive, including transparent pieces for the engine nacelles, a removable saucer section and engineering section, and even a tiny shuttle bay with two Type 15 shuttlepods.

More puzzling is the inclusion of nine small, crude figures, approximating the appearances of the current senior staff of the Enterprise, plus young Wesley Crusher. Captain Picard’s lack of follicular density is particularly notable, as is Commander Riker’s trombone accessory.
These figures are greatly exaggerated in scale compared to the model of the ship itself, but appear to be highly desirable to the culture of the time. If I were capable of emotion, I might find my own likeness in plastic disturbing, but as an android such things do not overly distress me. I am informed by the junior officers on the archeological survey that the small figure of Spot, my cat, is “freakin’ adorbs.”

Exactly how such an artifact arrived on this colony, and how it’s been dated to 300 years before the construction of the Enterprise D at the Utopia Plentia shipyards, is currently not known. Recovered economic logs from the time indicate that this set, sold by a Denmark-based company known and capitalized as LEGO, released it on November 28th, 2025, according to the Julian calendar. The price was $400 USD, extremely expensive for a toy but not out of line with the company’s contemporary licensed offerings.

Purchases from the networked LEGO store included a bonus set, a shuttlepod with a figure of Ensign Ro Laren. The scale is, I must note, inconsistent.
