iQOO will unveil the iQOO 15 on October 20 at an event in Shenzhen, China. The brand recently shared some pictures of the iQOO 15, revealing its color options and giving us a fair idea of the smartphone’s design. Now, the iQOO 15 has appeared in an unboxing video posted by AnTuTu on Weibo, which gives us a closer look at the flagship.

We are looking at the Chinese iQOO 15’s Legend Edition, and the video is in Chinese, which we don’t understand, but non-Chinese speakers can still gather some information.

The iQOO 15 comes in a black-colored retail box, and its rear panel, covered with an AG frosted glass and having an AF coating, features the “Monster Inside” text along with the iQOO logo and a blue-red colored design symbolizing iQOO’s partnership with BMW M Motorsport for its Legend Editions.

You can also see that the iQOO 15’s back panel is flatter compared to its predecessor, the iQOO 13. The camera island on the rear houses three cameras, and its design is similar to the iQOO 13’s, but the LEDs are now placed around the island ring.

    iQOO 15’s color options

The iQOO 15 features a punch-hole display on the front, and you can also see antenna lines on the phone’s frames, confirming a metal build. On the iQOO 15’s right frame is the power button and volume rocker, and at the bottom is the USB-C port, flanked by a microphone, a speaker grille, and a SIM card slot. Up top is another speaker, joined by the secondary mic and an IR blaster.

The retail box includes what appears to be a high-quality protective case, and we might see other color models come bundled with color-matching cases, which would be nice since the iQOO 13 came with a transparent case.

That said, the one thing we find disappointing is that the iQOO 15 will come bundled with a 100W FlashCharger, which insinuates the smartphone will have a maximum charging speed of 100W – a downgrade compared to the iQOO 13’s 120W charging speed.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station had previously said that the iQOO 15 will have 100W wired charging, and the inclusion of a 100W power adapter in the phone’s retail package pretty much confirms that. It’s worth mentioning, though, that the iQOO 15 is rumored to pack a 7,000 mAh battery, which, if true, would be a welcome upgrade since the iQOO 13’s global and Chinese models came with a 6,150 mAh battery, while the Indian version had a 6,000 mAh cell under the hood.

You can watch the unboxing video below.

iQOO hasn’t shared a detailed specs sheet of the iQOO 15, but it has confirmed that the smartphone will come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, freshly unveiled OriginOS 6, a 6.85″ 144Hz 2K display, and a Q3 gaming chip. Additionally, the iQOO 15 is confirmed to have IP68 and IP69 ratings and support wireless charging.
