I’ve seen plenty of smartphone deals over the last couple of weeks, but this one ranks near the top. For a limited time, you can pick up a OnePlus 13R on Amazon for only $490, an almost 20% discount from MSRP. The OnePlus 13R is still an impressive device, and for under $500, it quickly becomes one of my favorite midrange smartphones. Unfortunately, this deal won’t last long, and you’ll have to act fast if you want to score significant savings.

While Amazon is offering the OnePlus 13R for $490, it’s a limited deal, and once it’s been fully claimed, the price returns to $600. As of publication, the deal is 51% claimed, so there’s still time to save. If you’re in the market for a new phone, the OnePlus 13R is hard to beat for under $500.

Why you should buy a OnePlus 13R

When I reviewed the OnePlus 13R, I thought it was a powerhouse even for its initial $600 price. It’s a phone that makes you forget you’re not using a flagship, and you’ll have a hard time finding better raw performance in a midrange phone. It sports a fantastic 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s bright and vibrant, with 4,500 nits of peak brightness.

The star of the show is the chipset in the OnePlus 13R. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is not something you typically find in a new phone under $500. It still chews through anything you throw at it, and the OnePlus 13R will give you the best gaming performance from any midrange phone on the market. The Amazon deal is for the 12GB RAM variant, which is plenty to keep your device running smoothly.

The powerful chipset isn’t the only attractive spec on the OnePlus 13R. It features a large 6,000mAh battery and fast 80W wired charging. I can easily get two full days of use on the OnePlus 13R without breaking a sweat. It’s refreshing to see sizable batteries on powerful devices, especially for under $500. I love what OnePlus did with its midrange phone this year, and if you can score one for less on this Amazon deal, all the better.

The OnePlus 13R takes one of our favorite midrange phones from last year a step further. It still features a gorgeous 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, OnePlus added a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 12GB of RAM for 2025, with faster UFS 4.0 storage. The OnePlus 13 is a great performer, all for $600.
