I already loved the Google Pixel 10 Pro, but it’s a steal for $500

The Google Pixel 10 Pro is a device that flew under the radar. The Pixel 10 Pro XL got much of the attention at the high end, and deservedly so — it’s a fantastic device providing smooth performance with outstanding cameras. However, not everyone wants a phone with a 6.8-inch display. There are plenty of buyers who want all the creature comforts of Google’s top flagship without the size and weight of the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

That’s where the Pixel 10 Pro shines. It includes many of the things that make the Pixel 10 Pro XL a success, but without the additional size (or cost). It’s a phone that also benefits from some excellent carrier discounts. For a limited time, Mint Mobile is offering a way for you to save $500 on the Pixel 10 Pro, including 50% off a year of Mint’s Unlimited plan, a $180 value. It’s an impressive deal, and if you’ve been eyeing a Pixel 10 Pro, this is your chance to save.

What I love about the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL

    Smooth performance and excellent software

I’ve seen numerous complaints about the Tensor G5 chipset, but they are largely overblown. I get fantastic performance from my Pixel 10 Pro. It’s smooth and doesn’t have many of the problems that plagued previous Pixels. It doesn’t overheat, and the Tensor G5 is power-efficient, meaning my Pixel 10 Pro gets outstanding battery life from its 4,870mAh cell.

The Pixel 10 Pro also comes equipped with the same 16GB of RAM as the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Some of that is reserved for background Google Gemini functions, but it’s still plenty of RAM, meaning you can multitask without slowdowns.

The software experience on the Pixel 10 Pro is phenomenal. Material 3 Expressive is the best Android 16 software on the planet, as Google did a fantastic job transforming the user experience. It’s clean, quirky, and fun — precisely what I expect for software from Google. Let’s also not forget that Google promises seven years of software support, meaning you won’t need to shop for a new phone anytime soon.

The Pixel 10 Pro has everything you’d expect from a premium flagship build. Although it features a smaller 6.3-inch display, it boasts a Super Actua panel. Google’s screens are sharp, vibrant, and bright — they are a pleasure to use.

You’re also getting an excellent flagship camera experience on the Pixel 10 Pro. Its triple camera setup produces crisp, detailed photos in multiple lighting conditions. Night Sight is the best low-light photography experience on Android in the US, and it’s hard to be disappointed with the results.

It’s true that you’ll need to lay out more money upfront to get the Mint Mobile deal. However, if you’re buying a phone anyway and considering a switch, it’s a great opportunity to save on a top flagship phone and unlimited data.

Google’s latest Pro Pixel packs a faster yet efficient Tensor G5 chip, an upgraded ISP, and a brighter display. Plus, an array of new AI features that make it one of the best Android phones to launch in 2025.
