The Pixel 9 Pro Fold features all the bells and whistles of its predecessor, alongside a more durable hinge that lets it sit flat, seven years of OS updates for the foldable (up from three), and all the AI smarts you could ask for.

The Made by Google event is just around the corner, which means new Pixel phones, along with wearables and maybe some exciting software updates. Of course, that also means Google’s older devices are also starting to see extreme discounts, like $700 off the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

This is the lowest price we’ve seen to date, even cheaper than last week’s deal that knocked $600 off. It’s kind of wild when you think about just how cheap this really is, coming in at the same price right now as the MSRP of the Pixel 9 Pro XL. So grab it while you can, because this discount won’t be around for long.

The foldable to buy if you’re on a budget

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a solid device, featuring excellent hardware and software that can only get better going forward. Not only are you getting an impressive 8-inch foldable display, but the Google Tensor G4 chip also makes quick work with anything you can throw at it.

The device also features 16GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a 6.3-inch cover display that can be convenient to use if you don’t feel like opening up the phone. There’s also a triple camera setup, with a 48MP main, 10MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto.

Camera quality is pretty good, and it will get you through most scenarios, but if you’re looking for top-tier photography, you’re probably best looking elsewhere since foldables aren’t quite there yet. When it comes to the software, it’s all Pixel, which means plenty of exclusive goodies and AI features.

Google promises seven years of software updates, which will keep this device up to date for quite some time. So if you’re looking to invest in a new foldable, or if this is going to be your first foldable phone ever, we think the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is going to be a fantastic option, especially at the new low price of $1,099.
