Samsung announced the Galaxy S25 FE this week, a more affordable variant of its flagship S-series. Also new this week are flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra. Let’s have a look at what kind of offers are available.

There’s no pre-order for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, the phone went on sale immediately. You still get a perk for getting in early, though, a free storage upgrade (i.e. 256GB for the price of 128GB).

Offers for last year’s Galaxy S24 FE have dried up – we will revisit that in the coming weeks, maybe offers will return if there is enough stock. For now, let’s concentrate on what the new model brings over the old.

Samsung shaved 23g off the weight of the new FE and 0.6mm off the thickness (to 190g and 7.4mm). At the same time, the company increased the battery capacity to 4,900mAh (+200mAh). Not just that, wired charging rate was boosted to 45W (0-65% in 30 min, compared to 0-50% in 30 min on the old FE) and wireless to 25W (up from 25W and 15W, respectively). Also, the regular Exynos 2400 chipset (instead of the 2400e) has higher clock speeds.

Alternatively, you could look at the Galaxy S25+, though it’s pricier than the FE (as can be expected). This one weighs the same but is smaller on all other dimensions (158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm vs. 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4mm on the FE). The screen size is the same (6.7”), but the Plus has a higher quality 1440p+ LTPO panel. And it uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of last year’s Exynos 2400.

    Samsung Galaxy S25+

The Poco F7 Ultra is actually cheaper than the S25 FE while offering a Snapdragon 8 Elite. The 50MP telephoto camera on this one is only a 2.5x/60mm unit, but it might still be better than the 8MP 3x/75mm unit on the Samsung. Plus, the 6.67” OLED display has higher resolution (1440p+) and brightness (3,200 nits peak vs. 1,900 nits). The battery is only a bit bigger at 5,300mAh, but it supports both 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.

    Poco F7 Ultra

The Poco F7 Pro is a lot cheaper than the Samsung, while retaining the 6.67” 1440p+ display of its Ultra sibling. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside the Pro is a contemporary of the Exynos 2400 inside the Galaxy. You get a more basic camera with this one (50MP main + 8MP ultra-wide, no tele) but also a larger 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired-only charging.

    Poco F7 Pro

Alternatively, we can look at Realme’s GT series. The Realme GT 7 Pro also uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite and it has a 6.78” 1264p+ LTPO OLED display. It has a large 6,500mAh battery with 120W wired-only charging. The camera system offers a 50MP 3x/73mm telephoto module, similar to the Poco F7 Ultra.

    Realme GT 7 Pro

The Realme GT 7 is cheaper and drops down to a Dimensity 9400e while retaining the 6.78” 1264p+ LTPO OLED display. It even has a telephoto camera, though the 50MP sensor is paired with shorter 2x optics. Finally, there’s a huge 7,000mAh battery inside with 120W wired-only charging.

Also this week, Samsung launched a new generation of its flagship tablet series – this one with 11” and 14.6” models, but no 12.4”. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 has an 11” 120Hz OLED display, 8,400mAh battery and a Dimensity 9400+ chipset.

    Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra uses the same chip, but it’s paired with a larger 14.6” 120Hz OLED display and an 11,600mAh battery. Since school is starting up, students can get a 10% discount on either Tab S11 slate. Also note that we’ve linked the Wi-Fi versions below – if you want 5G connectivity on your tablet add €150 to the price. Finally, the 1TB variant of the Tab S11 Ultra is the only option for more than 12GB of RAM (it gets 16GB).
