Over the coming weeks your social media feeds will be filled with Black Friday deals and discounts. While it’s a good idea to pick up new gadgets when they’re discounted, I’d argue it’s an even better bargain to save money on a recurring subscription.

If you clicked this article, you probably already use Microsoft 365 and want to renew your subscription. Right now, you can do that at a 30% discount for Microsoft 365 Personal or a 23% discount for Microsoft 365 Family. Both are great options, especially considering the price hike on Microsoft 365 that took effect earlier this year.

Alternatively, you may be hopping into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem or transitioning from its free online version. Whether you’re stacking or subscribing for the first time, the early Black Friday deals on Microsoft 365 are worth a look.

I’ve used Microsoft Office for three decades. I track the price of Microsoft 365 to make sure you can always get the best deal on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.

Is now the best time to subscribe to Microsoft 365

I keep track of Microsoft 365 deals here at Windows Central. The current prices for Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family match the lowest I’ve seen in months.

I’ve also been a Microsoft 365 subscriber for years, dating back to the days of Office 365. Word, Excel, and OneDrive are my go-to apps for writing, managing finances, and storing files.

Microsoft’s Office apps are well-known, but they are far from the only benefit to subscribing to Microsoft 365. The service also provides access to Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Editor, and lesser-known extras like premium tools in Clipchamp.

It’s been a while since the price of Microsoft 365 increased, so some may have grown accustomed to the change. But since you can extend your Microsoft 365 subscription by up to five years, you can wait for a discount and avoid paying full price.

Right now, you can get 12 months of Microsoft 365 Personal for $69.99 or 12 months of Microsoft 365 Family for $99.99.

As the cost of living increases and companies find new ways to raise the prices of subscriptions, I’ve trimmed down how much I pay each month. But I use Microsoft 365 daily, so I can’t afford to cut it. Luckily, deals pop up regularly — you just need to know where to look.

    FAQ

    Can you stack Microsoft 365?

Yes. Stacking refers to purchasing additional months of a subscription to extend your ongoing plan. Microsoft 365 allows customers to stack up to five years.

Can I use Microsoft 365 on multiple devices?

Yes, Microsoft 365 is supported on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and the web. You can use the Microsoft 365 apps on up to five devices at once.

Does Microsoft 365 come with OneDrive storage?

Yes. Each Microsoft 365 user gets 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. That storage can be used to sync files across devices, to back up content, or to store files on the cloud.
