    Rhea Seehorn stars in Pluribus.

    Apple TV

Pluribus is the latest series from Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad. The show may be centered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and star Rhea Seehorn — one of the cast members of prequel series Better Call Saul — but aside from those details, this show is completely different. It’s a sci-fi drama that will probably be listed by critics as one of the best TV shows of the year.

The main theme of the series is that an unusual pandemic has affected the globe, with the majority of humanity suddenly experiencing extreme happiness. Except Carol (Seehorn). She’s one of a handful of people who have not been infected. Is it an alien invasion? Can it be stopped? Carol’s doing her best to find answers and not lose her mind in the process.

Karolina Wydra, Carlos Manuel Vesga, Mirian Shor, Peter Bergman and Samba Schutte also star.

Read on to find out more info about how to watch Pluribus and how using a VPN can help.

According to Apple, Pluribus’s release schedule finds the show dropping new episodes every Friday. However, the service typically releases these episodes on Thursday nights at 6 p.m. PT (9 p.m. ET), so technically you can watch each new episode on Thursdays, until the finale, which is set to drop on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 25. So, Merry Christmas.

    • Episode 9 premieres Friday, Dec. 26

How many episodes of Pluribus are there?

How to watch Pluribus on Apple TV

You can watch Pluribus with a subscription to Apple TV. If you prefer a different route to accessing the show, you can now add Apple TV as an add-on to your Prime Video membership. You can also consider the Apple TV and Peacock bundle if you’re interested in saving money.

    James Martin/CNET

If you want to watch Pluribus, you’ll need a subscription to Apple TV. The service costs $13 a month, and if you’re a new subscriber, you can get a seven-day free trial. For those who purchase a new Apple device, three months of Apple TV are free, as long as you redeem the offer within 90 days.

How to watch Pluribus from anywhere with a VPN

If you’re traveling abroad and want to keep up with your favorite shows while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming. It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds, and can also be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, adding an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins.

VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security. However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN use to access region-specific content. If you’re considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform’s terms of service to ensure compliance.

If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider’s installation instructions, ensuring you’re connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN use is crucial.

ExpressVPN is our current pick for the most secure and reliable VPN service. It’s fast, works across multiple devices and offers stable streams. ExpressVPN is normally $13 a month, but you can save money with an annual plan. There’s also a 30-day money-back guarantee.
