How to grind Black Ops 7 Endgame Camos quick and easy

I’m not sure this is actually a cheese, because it’s using skills that are carrying out their intended purpose. But I accidentally stumbled across a way of very quickly getting the kills needed to unlock Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Endgame weapon Camos without having to even fire the thing.

It genuinely was an accident, because I’m still figuring the mode out and trying to understand the skill trees. But on one of my operators through a happy little accident, I can now rapidly get Critical Kills, even in Zone IV, simply by sliding into and even just close by enemies.

The Camo grind in Endgame isn’t nearly as brutal as in Multiplayer, but you still need to get a lot of kills on a lot of weapons. Before you even get to the Special Camos, you need 250 Critical Kills, that is, headshots mostly, but some of the Special and Elite enemies have their Crit zones elsewhere.

    Best picks for you

This combination of skills means you don’t need to worry about aiming for the head. Just slide or even run into the enemies, and you’ll be racking them up in no time. Now Endgame is being opened to everyone without the need to clear the campaign first, you can jump right in and start the grind.

The only thing you have to make sure you do is have the weapon you’re chasing the Camos on in your hand at the time. And the usual disclaimer that the developers may end up nerfing this in the future, but right now, follow my lead and profit. Here’s how to get it done.

You need to use Bulldozer and Daredevil skill trees

In one match with this strategy I completed seven Camos for the D520 in about 15 minutes, without once having to fire it. (Image credit: Windows Central)

The key to this strategy is to use Bulldozer and Daredevil among your Skill Trees. As you level up your Combat Rating, this will give you access to the two individual skills, Tackle and Slide Explosions.

Tackle knocks down Fears and Soldiers when you run into them, where Slide Explosions creates, you guessed it, an explosion when you slide. The combination of the two seems to generate a one hit kill, and more often than not, a Critical Kill.

With Slide Explosions, you don’t even need to slide into the enemies, just slide close to them and it’ll do the rest. But Tackle means when the going gets tough and the horde gets large, you can brute force them out of the way as you move.

The images below show the exact skills I’m using.

I’ve even tested this in Zone IV, and it works just fine on regular Fears and Soldiers (there’s a short clip further down showing this.) In any zone it won’t one hit an Elite enemy, and anything armored, likewise. Even in Zone I, it won’t one hit the Cradle Champion, for example.

It does, however, despatch Special Enemies such as Raiders in the lower tier Zones. When you’re at Molten Gold you need to despatch 20 Special Enemies, and doing this you can one hit any Raiders you come across, and they will count towards your Camo.

But kills, Critical or otherwise, count towards your Camos so long as you have the weapon in your hand when you’re sliding or barging into the enemies. It couldn’t be simpler.

Where it will stop being effective is when you get to the Chroma Flux tier. For that, you need Elite kills, and this method will not instakill those. It’ll damage them, but not enough to be worth doing. For those, your best bet is a Legendary weapon and just do it the old-fashioned way.

But the Zone III and IV enemies needed for Moonstone can be done this way. You don’t need Specials or Elites for that, and as I’ve already found out, you can slide kill Zone IV enemies with these skills applied and a high enough Combat Rating.

Grinding for Endgame Camos is easier WITHOUT an Exotic weapon in your loadout

One other thing to remember for those interested in speed is that Exotic weapon kills don’t count towards Camos for their associated base weapon. You only seem to be able to use up to Legendary tier for that. So in the clip above, none of those counted towards anything, it’s purely to demonstrate the method working in Zone IV.

As handy as Exotics are for dealing with the tougher enemies in Endgame, ideally you want to have two regular weapons in your loadout that you can progress at the same time. The second slot is for something you pick up while you’re in Avalon, so it’s a little more random, but you can at least choose your primary.

If you pick the right spots on the map, though — and it doesn’t have to be Zone III or IV unless it’s for the Moonstone Camo — you can easily crank through the requirements for Military and Special Camos in a single match.

Spend a bit of time getting levelled up first, unlock the right skills, and go absolutely ham.
