Today, Samsung has started rolling out the update to One UI 8 Watch to the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic, both launched back in 2023. The update is based on Google’s Wear OS 6, which was announced in May.
The update is currently rolling out to the Watch6 and Watch6 Classic units purchased in Korea. The new build ends in CYK2. More regions are going to be getting it within the next few days, if there aren’t any big issues discovered in the meantime.
To check for the update, go to the Wearable app, then Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install. The update is pretty significant as it brings with it a new user interface and many new features.
It went out to the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra back in July, which is also when the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic arrived with One UI 8 Watch out of the box.
