Dell’s Alienware-series are often regarded as some of the finest gaming monitors in the business for their immaculate visual fidelity and heavenly performance rates.

One such case is the Alienware (AW2725QF), a mighty electronic device with a unique dual mode that can make it function like two gaming monitors in one, and it’s now on an early Black Friday sale for $449.99 at Dell.

    Why buy this gaming monitor?

From Dragon Age: Veilguard to Baldur’s Gate III, there is very little games this monitor can’t handle. (Image credit: Rebecca Spear / Windows Central)

Dell’s Alienware (AW2725QF) gaming monitor is packed with all kinds of advanced features that are essential for any PC gamer looking to squeeze the best performance possible out of their games.

These include an IPS Edge LED 16:9 screen, a 0.5ms response time, 500 nits of brightness max, NVIDIA G-Sync VRR technology, HDR600 support, an adjustable stand, and an assortment of ports (two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-B, three USB-A, one USB-C 3.2)

The biggest selling point of the Alienware (AW2725QF) gaming monitor, however, is its unique Dual Mode. Essentially, this gaming monitor can switch between having 3840 x 2160, 4K resolution with a 180Hz refresh rate or 1920 x 1080, Full HD resolution with a 320Hz refresh rate.

With this, you will be able to swap between 4K/180Hz mode to take in the beautiful visuals of movies or cinematic-heavy single-player games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to 1080p/320Hz mode so you can get the best framerate performance out of competitive PvP titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 without worrying about input latency.

Considering the insanely complicated technology it possesses and high-quality visuals and framerate it can push, I’m shocked this gaming monitor only costs $549.99 at retail; it’s basically two monitors in one.

I’m glad it doesn’t cost more, as this is an amazing gaming monitor that any gaming enthusiast and casual movie-streaming viewer should get their hands on.

Fortunately for us, its price tag has become even more affordable thanks to this early Black Friday 18% bargain at Dell, reducing it from $549.99 to $449.99 at Dell.

    FAQ

How do you switch the Alienware (AW2725QF) gaming monitor’s modes?

To swap modes, hold the monitor’s OSD button for two seconds, then release it once you agree to switch.

Make sure you close any programs before swapping modes, as this can cause software issues.

On top of that, you will need to go into Windows desktop, find the Advanced display option in the Display settings menu, and choose the monitor’s refresh rate from the drop-down menu, as pressing the OSD button won’t change the refresh rate.

How does performance match the visuals?

Adaptive sync and ultra‑low response times ensure smooth frame rates and responsive gameplay.

What platforms is it compatible with?

The Alienware (AW2725QF) is compatible with Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 Pro, and PlayStation 5.

What’s the optimal settings for color and brightness?

It is generally recommended to go with the “Creator” preset with sRGB color space and 2.2 gamma, for the optimal color and brightness settings. Although, you are free to adjust each individual option to your personal liking.

    What panel type is it?

The Alienware (AW2725QF) uses an IPS panel, not an OLED panel like other Alienware monitors do like the QD-OLED AW2725DF or the QD-OLED AW3425DW.

Is this monitor only for gamers?

No — its display quality makes it ideal for creative professionals, streamers, and anyone who values visual fidelity

    When does Black Friday start?

Black Friday will commence on November 28, 2025.

However, retailers have decided not to wait for the annual shopping spree to start officially, so they have gone ahead to host a plethora of early Black Friday discounts.
