Yesterday, Google announced that Google Workspace users who have access to Gmail client-side encryption will now be able to use full end-to-end encryption in the Gmail client even if the recipient uses a non-Gmail email provider. Nice!

Google says you can now send end-to-end encrypted emails from the Gmail client even to recipients who are using another email service, like Outlook or their own email server. End-to-end encryption started rolling out on September 30th to all users who have access to Gmail client-side encryption, but it could take up to 15 days before all users have access to the feature.
