Apple unveiled its iPhone 17 lineup earlier this month during the Apple event, and the launch did not disappoint. The new iPhones went on sale Friday, whether you’re after the base iPhone 17, the new iPhone Air, the 17 Pro or the larger 17 Pro Max.
As beautiful as a naked iPhone looks, protecting your new device is essential. Many of your favorite brands, such as Otterbox, Burga, Casetify and more, have released a swath of new cases for the latest iPhone models. Apple has dropped a line of cases, too, with some fun new accessories.
We’ll continue to update this list as more iPhone 17 cases become available. In the meantime, here are the cases you can currently grab to outfit your new iPhone.

iPhone 17 cases available now
Apple is known for its traditional silicone cases. And don’t worry, those are making a return for the new iPhone 17 series — even the new iPhone Air. But there’s an added feature this time, the crossbody strap. This strap can help you bring your phone around like a bag, no hands or pockets needed. You’ll also get 3% cash back if you pay with your Apple Card.*
You can shop Mkeke iPhone 17 series cases at its Amazon storefront now. If you’re looking for a bargain buy, these low-cost cases can still help you protect your phone from drops and other accidents. Just note that while these cases do support wireless charging, they are not designed for MagSafe accessories.
If you’re into photography, a Moment case could be perfect for your new iPhone. Moment makes some of our favorite iPhone accessories, and now, they’re compatible with Apple’s latest iPhones. With the Moment case, you’ll get AirFlex protection, which offers drop protection for up to 10 feet. You also have the option to capture more of the world around you with Moment’s lens attachments that seamlessly snap onto the case. iPhone Air and iPhone 17 owners get to choose from two colors, while iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max users have four color options.
Keep all your essentials in one place with Mujjo’s full-leather wallet case. This gorgeous wallet case is crafted from quality leather, which offers a smooth touch and promises a nice patina over time. It holds two or three cards, offers screen protection via a 1mm raised bezel and is still MagSafe compatible.

Can I use my iPhone 16 case with my iPhone 17?
No, sorry. The dimensions of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 do not line up. If you try to use your old case for your iPhone 17, it will not fit. The good news is that there are many new cases you can choose from.
How do I order the iPhone 17?
iPhone 17 series is now up for grabs on different retailers and carriers.
First, decide which model iPhone you want to buy: iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max. Then, select your preferred color and storage capacity. You also need to decide if you’ll trade in an older iPhone, which could get you up to $700 back from Apple.
Once you make those decisions, you’ll need to choose an optional carrier and AppleCare Plus coverage (or forgo it) and click the blue Add to Bag button. You can then include any accessories you want and enter your payment information to complete your purchase.
How do iPhone 17 trade-in offers work?
Multiple carriers offer trade-in savings, some valued at up to $1,100 on eligible trade-ins, which could net you a free iPhone 17 Pro. Note, however, that most trade-in deals from carriers require you to become a customer, and the terms often require you to choose some of the priciest plan options.
Not a fan of contracts? Some retailers also offer trade-in programs, which could offer gift cards toward future purchases instead. This can be a great way to take advantage of savings without necessarily being locked into a contract. Retail offers may not provide as much of a deal as traditional trade-in offers from carriers, though, so keep that in mind as you shop.
