The first Mixed Reality (MX) headset from vivo is launching on August 21. The brand confirmed the details via Weibo and shared some additional teasers ahead of the event.
The device will feature a similar design to Apple’s Vision Pro with a metal construction and a visor housing the displays. We also get a glimpse at the digital crown element, which will be used for controlling the headset’s opacity. We can also see the knit light seal and band around the back.
Hong Yi, General Manager of vivo Smart Device Products, shared a few additional details about the device. It will be as immersive and precise as the Apple Vision Pro, featuring true three-dimensional controls – likely hand gestures just like on Apple’s headset. Yi also shared that vivo’s headset will feature an ultra-lightweight design.
Sadly, the vivo Vision will not be a mass-market product right away. Instead, the headset will be available as an experience at vivo stores across China, allowing users to reserve and test the device and its spatial computing capabilities.
