Although T-Mobile is better known for its wireless service, the brand has been making big strides in expanding into home internet service, utilizing its nationwide 5G network. The carrier is now offering a $300 prepaid Mastercard with sign up.
A decade ago, the battle between cellular networks was at a high point, with each making arguments about why it was the best network to go with. But now, no matter what carrier you go with, post or prepaid, you can pretty much count on great service and expanded support across the US.

So says the latest report from J.D. Power
It’s essentially reaching its peak, which is why we’ve seen so many brands try and pivot, moving into new areas of business like offering home internet service too. T-Mobile does this as well, but not only does it offer 5G home internet service, but it has also heavily invested in fiber networks as well.
A great way to try new services without much risk
The great part about all of this is that wireless carriers are being extremely aggressive with promotions in this space. So, if you’ve been thinking about moving to a new carrier for your home internet service, now’s going to be a great time. The best part about 5G home service is that there isn’t really too much risk involved.
You just head to the carrier’s website, punch in your address to see if your location is eligible. If your area is covered, you just sign up. From here, you’ll get a 5G router for your location. Plug it in, go through the setup process, and you’ll be online. It really does just take a few minutes to get your internet going.
If this setup works for you, you’re good to go. If not, you can always cancel service and just return the equipment. It’s as easy as that. And if you need some more convincing to try it out, T-Mobile is now offering those that sign up for the service up to $300 back in the form of a prepaid Mastercard that can be used anywhere.
When it comes to pricing, you’re looking at a minimum of $50/month with AutoPay enabled. You can also pay for faster internet speeds, which will cost an additional $10/month. If you want some additional perks, T-Mobile offers its best home internet plan for $70/month. Naturally, you can choose the internet plan that’s right for you.
You will need to sign up for the home service through the internet in order to claim the current promotion. Just make sure to keep the service for at least 60 days in order to qualify for the prepaid card.
