    Retro gaming FAQ

Can I emulate games on Legion Go S (SteamOS)?

Yes, you certainly can. As the name implies, this handheld runs the Linux-based SteamOS, and many people find that Linux is a better option for emulating games than Windows.

Can I emulate games on Xbox Ally X?

Yep! The Xbox Ally X and the less powerful Xbox Ally can both be used to emulate games.

What are the best retro game emulators?

There are several game emulators out there and the best one for you will depend on what kind of programs you want to run and the kind of device you’re using.

Some of the most popular emulators include:
LaunchBox, RetroArch, Project 64, Dolphin Emulator, RPCS3, and PCSX2.

Is emulating games better on Linux?

It depends on what you want to emulate. That said, many older games can more easily be emulated on Linux, and some can run more smoothly on Linux as well.

What is the standard height of a classic arcade cabinet?

Typically, most classic cabinets are around six feet tall. Nowadays, you can find several that are around five feet tall. There are even tiny ones that are only a few inches in height.

    Are Arcade1Up machines good?

Yes. Many people enjoy playing on Arcade1Up machines and they usually get four to five star ratings at retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. Each model comes with a specific number of classic games, so you should get the device that has the games you want to play.

    Do Arcade1Up machines take coins?

No. All Arcade1Up machines are set up for free play by default and if they have a coin slot, it is only decorative and cannot take coins. Some people do modify these machines to take change, though.
